Corn, sorghum, soybean cash bids higher

Compared to Dec. 22, 2017 cash bids for sorghum, corn and soybeans traded higher and wheat traded mixed, according to the National Grain Market Summary, Dec. 26, 2017.

A stronger palm oil market and drier weather in South America gave support to soybeans Dec. 26, with January soybeans closing 9 3/4 cents higher.

Corn was 3/4 to 1 cent higher. Sorghum was 1 1/4 cent higher. Soybeans were mostly 7 to 10 cents higher. Wheat 3 cents lower to 9 cents higher.

In the futures close, Kansas City March wheat was $4.20, down 2 1/4 cents.

Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $4.03, down 2 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.16, down 3/4 cent; Portland, $5.20 1/4 to $5.30, up 9 1/4 cents to unchanged; St. Louis, $4.22 to $4.30, down 3 cents.

Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.37 3/4, up 3/4 cent; Minneapolis, unavailable; southern Iowa, $3.24 3/4 to $3.32 3/4, up 3/4 to down 1/4 cent; Omaha, $3.27 to $3.29, up 1 cent.

Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $9.19 1/4 to $9.21 1/4, up 9 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, unavailable; southern Iowa, $9.25 1/4 to $9.33 1/4, up 17 3/4 to 11 3/4 cents; central Illinois processors, $9.42 1/4 to $9.52 1/4, up 7 to 10 cents.

Kansas City wheat prices Dec. 26, 2017 spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $4.55 to $6.14, down 2 1/4 cents; 12% protein, $6.10 to $6.0, down 2 1/4 cents; 13% protein, $6.55 to $6.70, down 2 1/4 cents; 14% protein, $6.75 to $6.87, down 2 1/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
