OKC West Livestock auction report
The OKC West Livestock, El Reno, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 5,500 head selling on Jan. 9, compared to 10,970 head selling a week ago, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Due to the light offering a week ago, steer and heifer calves were not well tested, however a sharply lower undertone was noted. Demand was mostly moderate. Quality was average to attractive. The feeder cattle supply included 58% steers, 41% heifers, and 1% bulls. The feeder cattle supply over 600 pounds was 40%.
