Champions named at NWSS Junior Gelbvieh and Balancer Heifer Show

The Junior Gelbvieh and Balancer® Heifer Show at the National Western Stock Show was held Jan. 6 in Denver, Colorado. Judge Kyle Conley, Sulphur, Oklahoma, evaluated the 19 Gelbvieh heifers and 40 Balancer heifers.

Grand champion Gelbvieh heifer was BCFG Butlers Ms Dixie 283D owned by Clint Main, Seymour, Indiana. This heifer is the March 4, 2016 daughter of BCFG Butlers Red Oak 908W and first claimed the junior yearling heifer division.

GHGF Deanna 77D, owned by Austin Teeter, Mount Ulla, North Carolina, won reserve grand champion Gelbvieh heifer. This heifer was sired by FMGF Blue’s Impact 001X and was born March 3, 2016.

Grand champion Balancer heifer was BCFG Butlers Ms Dolly 1315D owned by Alexandria Raab, Markle, Indiana. First claiming the junior yearling heifer division, this heifer is sired by BCFG Butlers Bismarck 512Z and was born February 9, 2016.

CBLG Six E Firefly 700E, owned by Taylor Goering, McPherson, Kansas, won reserve grand champion Balancer heifer. She is the April 15, 2017 daughter of PZCT PZC TMAS Firestorm 1800 ET. This heifer was first named champion heifer calf.
