The Lexington Livestock Market, Lexington, Nebraska, reported receipts of 2,780 head selling on Jan. 26, compared to 4,250 head a week ago, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to a week ago, steers over 500 pounds were selling steady to $6 higher and heifers over 500 pounds were selling steady to $3 lower. Demand was good from the buyers in the crowd. The calf and feeder supply included 63% steers and 37% heifers with nearly 74% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
