The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 4,910 head selling on March 10, compared to 4,860 head a week ago and 4,650 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to a week ago, steers and heifers over 500 pounds were selling mostly steady. Demand was good from the buyers in the crowd. The feeder supply included 58% steers and 42% heifers with nearly 77% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
