Ericson Livestock Auction report
The Ericson Livestock Auction, Ericson, Nebraska, reported receipts of 3,770 head selling on Feb. 24, compared to 3,560 head a week ago and 3,000 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to a week ago, steers 650 to 850 pounds were selling $3 to $6 lower and heifers 650 to 800 pounds were selling steady. Demand was moderate to good from the buyers in the crowd. The feeder supply included 60% steers and 40% heifers with nearly 66% of the run weighing over 600 pounds.
