Pratt 3 p.m. cattle sales report

The Pratt Livestock, Pratt, Kansas, April 12, reported estimated receipts of 4,200 head as of 3 p.m., according to the Kansas Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Dodge City, Kansas.

Compared to a week ago, the feeder steers with early sales and weighing 750 to 950 pounds were selling $3 to $6 higher. The feeder heifers from 600 to 800 pounds and those from 900 to 950 pounds were firm to $1 higher and those 800 to 900 pounds were selling $1 to $2 lower.

Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 750 to 800 lbs., 144.50 to 144.60; 788 lbs., thin fleshed 148.00 to 149.75; 800 to 850 lbs., 140.60 to 145.25; 808 lbs., thin fleshed 147.50; 850 to 900 lbs., 132.60 to 136.50; 850 lbs., gaunt 144.75; 893 lbs., thin fleshed 138.25; 900 to 950 lbs., 127.50 to 133.85; 900 to 950 lbs., thin fleshed 136.00 to 146.25.
