Dunlap Feeder Cattle Auction report
The Dunlap Feeder Cattle Auction, Dunlap, Iowa, reported receipts of 2,740 head selling on April 20, compared to 2,291 head selling April 6 and 2,045 head last year, according to the Iowa Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News, Des Moines, Iowa.
This was a special feeder calf and yearling sale. Compared to the April 6 sale, a higher undertone was noted on both the steers and the heifers. Trade was active with a higher offering. Receipts included 62% steers and 38% heifers, cattle over 600 pounds was 57%, with 40% steers and 17% heifers.
