A fire at a biofuel plant, Emergent Green Energy, about a mile west of Minneola, Kansas, sent smoke high in the sky and multiple fire units were sent from neighboring counties to contain the fire on a near 100-degree day. The fire started shortly before noon June 12. The plant is a 1.2 million gallon biodiesel plant. No one was believed to be injured in the fire and damages were not known. (Photo by Dave Bergmeier.)
