Ethanol fire burning west of Minneola
According to a Facebook post by the National Weather Service Dodge City, an ethanol fire has been burning 1.5 miles west of Minneola, Kansas, since about noon.
The Ford County Sheriff’s office said evacuations are in effect for southern Ford county for residents west of Highway 283 and south of Windy Road. Residents are requested to move east of Highway 283 and not to travel into these areas because of toxic smoke.
