Corn silking was at 11 percent this week, 5 percentage points ahead of last year. Corn condition was rated 2 percent very poor, 14 percent poor, 38 percent fair, 41 percent good, and 5 percent excellent. Soybean emerged was at 93 percent, with blooming at 4 percent. Soybean condition was rated 3 percent very poor, 12 percent poor, 40 percent fair, 41 percent good, and 4 percent excellent. Cotton squaring progressed to 57 percent, up 8 percentage points from last week. Cotton condition was rated 4 percent poor, 36 percent fair, 53 percent good, and 7 percent excellent. Rice condition was rated at 15 percent poor, 25 percent fair, 40 percent good, and 20 percent excellent. Sorghum planted is at 95 percent, 8 percentage points ahead of the 5-year average, with 7 percent headed. Sorghum condition was rated 10 percent poor, 42 percent fair, 45 percent good, and 3 percent excellent. Winter wheat harvested progressed to 66 percent, up 22 percentage points from last week.
