In many ways, Rural America is one large neighborhood, filled with people who take pride in their roots.
The farms and communities within the High Plains help feed the world. Its fiber is found in its people.
At the High Plains Journal, our staff grew up on these farms and in these communities. While they have different names, traditions and customs, we find that we share more similarities than we have differences. As Independence Day nears, our staff members share perspective about their hometowns and what it means to them.
