Youth in Ag Scholarship winners announced
Four animal science students at Kansas State University have been awarded $1,000 Kansas Livestock Foundation Youth in Ag Scholarships. Walker Clawson from Meade is the son of Dan and Tamra Clawson and is a freshman pursuing a dual major in agricultural economics. Cooper Imthurn of Maple Hill, son of Dan and Stephanie Imthurn, is a sophomore in the production/management option. Alyssa Leslie from Inman is the daughter of Garret Leslie and Toni Woodson. She is a freshman with a pre-veterinary medicine option. Joel Nelson of Soldier, son of Jerry and Jo Ann Nelson, is a junior, also pursuing a pre-veterinary medicine option.
Youth in Ag Scholarships are funded by the KLF Club Calf Sale held each year in conjunction with the Kansas Junior Livestock Show in Hutchinson. This year’s sale will take place October 6.
