San Angelo livestock auction report
The San Angelo Producers Livestock Auction Co., Report, San Angelo, Texas, reported receipts of 1,159 head selling on July 19, compared to 1,103 head a week ago and 792 head last year, according to the USDA Market News Service, San Angelo, Texas.
Compared to a week ago, steer and heifer calves and yearlings were selling $1 to $3 lower. Slaughter cows and slaughter bulls were selling $3 lower. Stock cows and pairs were trading weak to slightly lower. Trading and demand was moderate. Quality was average to plain. The supply included 20% slaughter cows, 1% slaughter bulls, 74% feeders, 5% stock cows and pairs. The feeders included 55% were steers and bulls, 40% weighed over 600 pounds.
Feeder steers: Medium and large frame 1, 631 lbs., 145.00; 723 lbs., 139.00. Medium and large frame 1 to 2, 500 to 600 lbs., 148.00 to 154.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 134.00 to 141.00; 700 to 800 lbs., 130.00 to 136.00. Medium and large frame 2, 200 to 250 lbs., 156.00 to 165.00; 300 to 400 lbs., 156.00 to 165.00; 400 to 500 lbs., 145.00 to 155.00; 500 to 600 lbs., 139.00 to 146.00; 600 to 700 lbs., 129.00 to 134.00; 700 to 800 lbs., 127.00 to 128.00.
