Arkansas livestock auction summary
The summary of livestock auctions in Arkansas for the week ending Aug. 6, showed estimated receipts of 7,290 head selling, compared to 2,295 head a week ago and 10,355 head last year, according to the USDA-Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, Little Rock, Arkansas.
Compared to a week ago, there were not enough cattle on offer for an accurate price trend. The supply included 4,590 stocker and feeder calves, 1,470 feeder yearlings, 510 replacement cows, 640 slaughter cows and 80 slaughter bulls. The feeder supply was 45% yearling heifers.
