The Apache Livestock Auction, Apache, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 1,353 head selling on Nov. 1, compared to 1,471 head a week ago and 2,323 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, feeder steers and feeder heifers were selling steady to $2 higher on a limited test. Steer calves were selling steady to $1 lower. Heifer calves were selling unevenly steady. Quality was good through attractive with moderate demand. The supply included 32% over 600 pounds and 43% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $3 to $6 lower. Slaughter bulls were selling $3 lower. Packer demand was moderate. A total of 185 cows and bulls sold with 57% going to packers.
