Apache Livestock Auction report
The Apache Livestock Auction, Apache, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 2,473 head selling on Nov. 15, compared to 2,735 head a week ago and 2,855 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, feeder steers were selling steady to $3 lower. There were not enough feeder heifers for a market test. Steer and heifer calves were selling steady to $2 lower. Quality was fair to attractive with moderate demand. The supply included 34% over 600 pounds and 47% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling steady. Slaughter bulls were selling steady. Packer demand was moderate. A total of 343 cows and bulls sold with 56% going to packers.
