Ogallala Livestock Auction report
The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Nebraska, reported receipts of 5,190 head selling Dec. 13, compared to 6,745 head a week ago and 5,100 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to a week ago, steers were selling steady to $3 higher, heifers were selling $1 to $5 higher. Demand was good on all weights offered. Steers accounted for 60% and heifers 40% of the offering, with 38% over 600 pounds.
