Ada feeder cattle sale results

Southern Oklahoma Livestock Auction, Ada, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 2,002 head selling a week ago, 1,141 head trading March 24 and 945 head selling a year ago, according to USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Compared to a week ago, steers were selling mostly steady to $2 higher with 700 to 800 pounds selling up to $11 higher. Heifers under 550 pounds were trading $1 to $2 lower, over 550 pounds were selling $1 to $2 higher. Quality was average. Demand was good to very good. Supply included: 100% feeder cattle (44% steers, 45% heifers, 11% bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 pounds was 24%.
