Tulsa feeder cattle sale results

Tulsa Livestock Auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 1,607 head selling a week ago, 2,202 head trading April 19 and 1,823 head selling a year ago, according to USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Compared to a week ago, steers were selling $9 lower on a light test. Heifers were trading $6 lower also on a light test. Quality was plain and few were attractive. Demand was good. Supply included: 81% feeder cattle (51% steers, 36% heifers, 13% bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 pounds was 21%.
