Cash bids mostly lower
Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly lower for wheat, corn, sorghum and soybeans according to USDA reported prices, Nov. 2.
For the week ending Oct. 28, a decrease of 15,524 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while a decrease of 293,926 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a decrease of 82,138 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported a decrease of 2,982 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending Oct. 22, had an increase at 1,106,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was down 8 1/4 cents to unchanged. Corn was down 6 cents. Sorghum was down 6 cents. Soybeans were up 16 1/2 to 14 1/2 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $7.98 1/4.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, unavailable; Minneapolis, unavailable; Portland, $10.25 to $11.50, unchanged; St. Louis, unavailable.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $5.73 to $5.88, down 6 cents; Minneapolis, $5.54 to $5.63, down 6 to 11 cents; southern Iowa, $5.53 to $5.61, down 6 to 8 cents; Omaha, $5.38 to $5.53, down 6 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $12.51 1/4 to $12.66 1/4, up 7 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $12.26 1/4 to $12.31 1/3, up 11 3/4 to 7 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $12.18 to $12.37 1/4, down 3/4 to up 8 1/2 cents; central Illinois processors, $12.46 1/4 to $12.66 1/4, up 16 1/2 to 14 1/2 cents.
Kansas City wheat prices Nov. 2, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $9.21 1/4 to $9.31 1/4, up 19 3/4 cents; 12% protein, $10.01 1/4 to $10.11 1/4, up 4 3/4 cents; 13% protein, $10.13 1/4 to $10.23 1/4, down 8 1/4 cents; 14% protein, $10.13 1/4 to $10.23 1/4, down 8 1/4 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
