The USDA Market News Service, Greeley, Colorado, in the closing grain report for March 22, reported in futures trading that Chicago May soft red winter wheat was $11.18 1/4; May corn, $7.53; and May soybeans, $16.96 1/2.
The export bid for direct Gulf delivery of No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, rail, unavailable; No. 2 soft red winter wheat, barge, $11.93 1/4 to $12.28 1/4, down 1 cent; No. 2 yellow corn, barge, $8.53 to $8.75, down 3 1/4 cents; No. 2 yellow sorghum, rail, unavailable; No. 2 yellow sorghum, barge, unavailable; and No. 1 yellow soybeans, barge, $18.26 1/2 to $18.28 1/2, up 5 1/2 cents.
Colby, Kansas, unit train wheat bid was $10.09 3/4 to $10.34 3/4.
In Denver and the surrounding area, hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, was $10.05 to $10.97.
No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, north central Colorado, was $10.04 3/4 to $10.96 1/2.
In northeast Colorado, wheat was $9.89 3/4 to $10.22 1/2.
In east central Colorado, wheat was $9.96 1/2 to $10.39 3/4.
In southeast Colorado, wheat was $9.94 3/4 to $10.46 1/2.
In southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming, wheat bids were $9.99 3/4 to $10.11 1/2.
No. 2 yellow corn in north central Colorado was $7.59 3/4.
In northeast Colorado, the country elevator corn bids were $7.09 3/4 to $7.48 3/4.
In east central Colorado, corn was $7.24 1/4 to $7.44 3/4.
In southeast Colorado, corn was $7.68 to $8.08.
In southwest Nebraska corn bids were $7.04 3/4 to $7.33 per bushel.
No. 2 yellow sorghum in southeast Colorado was $7.13 to $7.48.

White millet in Colorado, southwest Nebraska and southeast Wyoming was $14 to $16 per cwt.

In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, pinto beans were steady $44 per cwt; in North Dakota and Minnesota, pinto beans were steady at $42 to $45. In North Dakota and Minnesota, black beans were steady $45 to $46. Great Northerns were steady at $30 in northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska. In North Dakota and Minnesota, navy beans were steady $42. In northeast Colorado, Wyoming and western Nebraska, light red kidneys were $50; in North Dakota and Minnesota, light red kidneys were $50.
