Compared to last week, cash bids for were mostly mixed for wheat, corn, soybeans and sorghum, according to USDA reported prices, Oct. 25.
For the week ending Oct. 20, an increase of 10,927 metric tons of corn inspected and weighed for export was reported while an increase of 964,039 metric tons of soybeans were inspected and weighed. Wheat inspected and weighed for export showed a decrease of 108,355 metric tons. Sorghum inspected and weighed for export reported an increase of 23,276 metric tons.
Ethanol production for the week ending Oct. 14, was slightly higher at 1,016,000 barrels a day.
Wheat was unchanged to down 5 1/2 cents. Corn up 4 3/4 cents. Sorghum was up 4 3/4 cents. Soybeans were up 10 cents.
In the futures close, Kansas City December wheat was $9.34 1/2.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $9.99 1/2, down 3 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $10.92 1/4, down 15 1/2 cents; Portland, $8.75 to $9.15, unchanged; St. Louis, $6.84 3/4 to $8.14 3/4, down 4 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $7.21 1/4 to $7.36 1/4, up 4 3/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.51 1/4 to $6.66 1/4, up 4 3/4 cents; southern Iowa, $6.31 1/4 to $6.56 1/4, up 4 3/4 cents; Omaha, $6.97 1/4 to $7.23 1/4, up 7 3/4 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $13.82 to $14.07, up 10 cents; Minneapolis, $13.42 to $13.62, up 10 cents; southern Iowa, $12.97 to $13.17, up 10 cents; central Illinois processors, $13.52 to $13.87, up 10 cents.
Kansas City wheat prices Oct. 25, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $11.19 1/2 to $11.29 1/2, up 1 1/2 cents; 12% protein, $11.34 1/2 to $11.44 1/2, up 1 1/2 cents; 13% protein, $11.14 1/2 to $11.24 1/2, up 21 1/2 cents; 14% protein, $11.14 1/2 to $11.24 1/2, up 21 1/2 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was unavailable.
