Kansas Junior Livestock Show to be managed by Higbie, KLA

The Kansas Junior Livestock Show board of directors has chosen to partner with the Kansas Livestock Association for increased organizational support, including management of the annual event held in Hutchinson.

KLA has a long history of involvement with KJLS. The association has served as a sponsor and provided volunteer staffing support during the show for many years.

KLA staff member Ryan Higbie of Quenemo will take on the management responsibilities of the show. Higbie said as KJLS director of livestock shows and events he looks forward to working alongside exhibitors, their families and show volunteers in an environment that challenges and rewards youth for their hard work.

Higbie has been with KLA for almost 20 years. During much of that time, he also coordinated the Mid-America Classic Livestock Judging Contest, held in conjunction with KJLS each year.
