Grants awarded to New Mexico ag organizations

American AgCredit, Las Cruces, New Mexico, has awarded grants to 23 New Mexico agriculture-related organizations totaling $204,000.

Recipients include: Ag in the Classroom, Ranch Management Camp, 4-H Animal Camp, 4-H Leadership, FFA Leadership, FFA Expo, New Mexico Wool Growers, New Mexico State University Chile Institute, New Mexico State University Hydroponics, New Mexico Cattle Growers’ Association Youth Outreach Young Cattlemen, New Mexico Cattle Growers’ Association Cattlemen’s College, Centennial FFA, Sierra Soil and Water Conservation, Lincoln County Food Bank, Play Share Foundation, National Center for Frontier Communities, Localogy, Farmington Municipal School, Farm of Song, Dessert Verde Farm, Ramel Family Farms LLC, Bidli Baby Food and Jal Farms.

American AgCredit designed the Rural Roots Endowment to provide grants and direct funds to New Mexico agricultural organizations that support the next generation of farmers and ranchers—like FFA, 4-H, junior livestock and scholarships—as well as to ensure the long-term viability and sustainability of New Mexico agriculture, fight hunger in New Mexico and continue ag education in New Mexico.
