The High Plains Journal (HPJ) has been a trusted source of news and insight for the agriculture industry in the United States since 1949.
That is a long time. If you want to see how different things were 20, 50 or 75 years ago in the ag-industry, take a look at the “High Plains History” or the “Commemorative content” columns in recent issues of the publication.
Anyone involved in business knows that change is inevitable, and innovation is critical. That is true in agriculture and is equally true for this publication. In the weeks ahead, consumers of HPJ digital products will notice updates that will make content more accessible and custom-tailored for users.
At the top of the list is a transition from HPJ’s longtime net domain to hpj.com. Digital subscribers have already seen this change with weekly e-newsletters, and now the two domains can be used interchangeably.
Digital subscription levels will also be changing, which includes three new options.
First, HPJ will offer a Free Digital Subscription to qualified industry professionals or students. The Free Digital Subscription includes 50-plus weeks per year of the digital edition of High Plains Journal with access limited to the current week’s edition. This subscription level will also include access to select free industry newsletters and limited website access. The Free Digital Subscription will not include access to premium content (digital edition archives, online article archives, industry reports, HPJ original or bonus content, and other paid subscriber-only content).
HPJ also will offer two paid digital subscription levels. Paid Premium Access–Digital & Print will include 50-plus weeks of digital and print editions of High Plains Journal per year; unlimited website access, including searchable articles older than one-year, digital edition archives and premium subscriber-only content. In addition, subscribers at this level will receive subscriber-only discounts for event attendance and access to all HPJ industry e-newsletters.
A final subscription level, Paid Premium Access–Digital Only, will offer all the Digital & Print level, only without High Plains Journal’s signature weekly print publication.
Current digital subscribers will have to update login information on HPJ.com. Subscribers will use an email address as their new username and provide a new password.
