The High Plains area weekly weighted average direct cattle sales results for the week ending May 11, reported receipts of 69,506 head compared to 81,570 head a week ago and 68,269 head a year ago, according to the USDA Livestock Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.

The report is based on sales from Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa, and Minnesota feedlots.

**Feeder cattle**
Weight >800 pounds, muscle grade 1-2, frame medium-large
**Median weight:** 969 lbs., Western; 919 lbs., Central; 907 lbs., Southern, 895 lbs., Midwest.
