Unverferth adds technology upgrades to Seed Runner seed tender line
Unverferth Manufacturing Co. Inc., Kalida, Ohio, has introduced a new lineup of Seed Runner bulk tank seed tenders, with four models scheduled for release in 2027.
The 60-series includes models 4960, 3960, 3760 and 2760, with hopper capacities of 500, 400, 375 and 275 seed units, respectively. The company said the updated lineup focuses on operational efficiency through a CAN bus communication system, an electronically carbureted engine and a redesigned hydraulic system.
Standard features include an auto-tension conveyor, hopper cleanout doors, auto-throttle, LED work lights and a five-function wireless remote. A DG3520 scale package is standard on DXL and XL models and optional on other units.
The new tenders retain the company’s self-filling conveyor design. Conveyor lengths vary by model, with DXL units featuring a 24-foot conveyor, XL models a 21-foot conveyor, and models 3760 and 2760 equipped with 18-foot conveyors.
The CAN bus system and updated hydraulic design allow operators to run multiple functions simultaneously. The engine is designed to improve fuel efficiency by 15%, according to the company.
The auto-tension conveyor uses a spring-loaded system to maintain proper belt tension and reduce maintenance. A wireless remote controls functions including conveyor operation, hopper doors and engine controls, and can integrate with scale-equipped units to display weight readouts and manage conveyor speed.
The DG3520 scale system includes a split-screen display, automatic shutoff for preset unload weights and Bluetooth connectivity for limited operation through a mobile device.
Additional options include expanded wireless remote kits, a talc and graphite applicator, hydraulic jack, roll-tarp system and tank shaker kit.
Unverferth also introduced a limited Midnight Edition for DXL and XL models, featuring a metallic gray finish, aluminum wheels and upgraded features.
“The new 60-series carries on the legacy of the patented self-filling Seed Runner tender and brings new technology enhancements and more standard features,” said Shawn Gerdeman, director of product support and development.
