Empirical Foods ground beef production facility opens in Garden City
Empirical Foods officially opened a large-scale ground beef production facility in Garden City, Kansas, April 9.
According to news sources, the expansion included a 280,000 square foot plant that’s expected to produce 95% lean ground beef. The facility is expected to bring more than 250 new jobs.
In attendance at the event was President of Empirical Innovations and Empirical Technology Nick Roth, President of Empirical Foods Craig Letch, and Beef Products Inc., co-founder Regina Roth.
U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran gave remarks and was joined by U.S. Rep. Tracey Mann, Kansas Lt. Gov. David Toland, Garden City Mayor Tom Nguyen, President of Finney County Economic Development Lona DuVall and Finney County Commission Chairwoman Vicki Germann.
