K-State Extension, K-State Department of Plant Pathology and the Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission (KGSC) have announced a change in the schedule for this month’s Sorghum Connection Field Days.
Originally, it was announced they would host Field Day events near Bavaria in Saline County on August 26 and near Dorrance in Russell County on August 27. Those are both now canceled.
Sorghum Connection programming will instead reach growers at two alternative events happening the same days at K-State Western Kansas Research-Extension Centers’ field days for August 26 in Hays and August 27 in Tribune. Details for both events, along with the full 2026 lineup, are available at wkrec.org/events/field_days.
The Sorghum Connection Field Day originally scheduled near Dighton on August 28 will go on as planned at 2 PM, 2 miles east and 3 miles south of Dighton at the intersection of Road 120 and Mustang Road. There is no cost to attend, but attendees are asked to register online.
