National Pest Management Association kicks off back-to-school season with ‘Pest in Class’ sweepstakes
School is officially back in session, and the National Pest Management Association has launched the Pest in Class Sweepstakes, celebrating back-to-school season and teachers who use PestWorld For Kids to make learning about bugs fun and interactive.
The sweepstakes will run through Oct. 15. For a chance to win, entrants must fill out a form at PestWorldForKids.org/Sweepstakes with their name, contact information, school information and a brief description of how they use PestWorld For Kids lesson plans and educational resources.
One grand prize winner will receive a classroom visit with a board-certified entomologist and a prize pack, including pest-themed activities, games, posters, stickers and more. In addition, four runners-up will win the prize pack for their classroom.
“We love seeing students interested in learning about pests, whether it’s the different species, their appearances, habitats or behaviors,” said Jim Fredericks, senior vice president of public affairs at the Fairfax, Virginia-based NPMA. “We’re excited for the opportunity to provide that knowledge firsthand to a classroom that shares our enthusiasm for all things pests through this sweepstakes.”
PestWorld For Kids, the kid-friendly version of the National Pest Management Association’s PestWorld.org, is a resource where teachers, parents and students can learn more about their favorite critters through lesson plans, games and informational pest guides.
