There is a lot going on in this world. There are wars and rumors of wars.

Have you ever heard that remark? Does the phrase “Birthing Pains” remind you of anything. It’s in the Bible talking about the end of times. To me it seems we have had a lot of disasters like large fires, floods and earthquakes. And lots of unrest with socialism and communism entering our political world.
Don’t take that lightly. If that ever gets established in America it will be hard to reverse it. Do I like everything that is happening in America? No, but we are still the best country in the world. Let me ask you one thing. If socialism and communism are so wonderful then why are people fleeing those countries to come to America?
It appears or at least hopefully that we have found a bottom and are moving the market higher. We had already moved some higher, but Monday our feeder cattle futures were as much as $5.75 per hundredweight higher and fat cattle futures as much as $2.90 cwt higher. Do I think we are going back to all-time highs soon? No, but hopefully we will find a nice level to get back to.
We finally got some rain in our area, but still very spotty with some spots getting a little over an inch of moisture and other areas receiving none. Hopefully it is a start and by next week I can report that our entire area received nice rains. Never be too proud to ask God for rain and always tell him thank you after you get it.
I was in the convenience store and I ordered biscuits and gravy. And after she took my order she said to the gals fixing it what I wanted then said, “Pretty Please.” I said, “Does that help?” She said, “I have been back there and it is nice to hear when you are back there doing the work.” So I told her, “Maybe I should say that to my hired hands.” So I walked back to where a man was that works for me and told him the story. I said would it help if I said, “Pretty Please?” He said, “No it probably works on Grandma (meaning his wife) but probably not on me.”
You will be very proud of me now. I have cut down my drinking to only one vodka drink before going to bed. However, I couldn’t sleep so I went to bed four times.
