CLAAS launches Axion 9, Axion 8 and Arion 6 CMATIC tractors in North America

CLAAS, Omaha, Nebraska, has unveiled a new generation of tractors for the North American market.

The Arion 6, Axion 8 and Axion 9 tractor lines span 165 to 450 horsepower and deliver significant advancements in operator comfort, drivetrain intelligence, automation and digital connectivity.

Designed for operations ranging from livestock and mixed farming to large-scale row-crop production and custom contracting, the tractors share a common platform philosophy focused on maximizing productivity while reducing operator workload and operating costs.

“The next generation of CLAAS tractors represents a major step forward for North American producers,” said Guido Hilderink, head of sales for tractors and implements. “Whether customers need a versatile mid-horsepower tractor or a high-horsepower machine for demanding fieldwork, every model delivers premium comfort, intelligent automation and the efficiency producers need to get more done.” The lineup includes:

• Arion 6 CMATIC — 165 to 205 horsepower for mixed farming, hay and forage, loader work and transport applications.
• Axion 8 CMATIC — 240 to 313 horsepower for row-crop, planting, grain cart, forage and field operations.
• Axion 9 CMATIC — 330 to 450 horsepower for heavy tillage, seeding and transport applications, with both wheeled and TERRA TRAC configurations.

While each series is designed for different horsepower requirements, all three feature a completely redesigned operator environment, the CMATIC CVT transmission and advanced electronic systems that automatically optimize machine performance.

New cab design

Every tractor features a premium cab engineered to improve visibility, reduce fatigue and enhance productivity during long days in the field.

Noise levels as low as an A-weighted decibel of 67— the spacious cab provides improved ergonomics, additional storage and outstanding visibility in every direction.

Available comfort features include:

• Heated, ventilated and massaging seats
• Four-point cab suspension
• Up to 22 LED work lights generating as much as 56,000 lumens
• Optional second 12-inch touchscreen display
• High-resolution camera integration

Dynamic steering for easier headland turns and loader work

Operators also benefit from the latest CLAAS electronic board information operating system, which combines tractor controls, implement management and precision farming functions into an intuitive touchscreen interface.

Powertrain management

Across all Axion series, CLAAS has paired proven Fiat Power Train six-cylinder engines with its continuously variable transmission and an entirely new generation of intelligent drivetrain management.

The system continuously coordinates engine speed, transmission operation and implement load to maximize fuel efficiency while maintaining consistent field performance.

Key technologies include:

• Auto Load Anticipation, which continuously learns implement loads to anticipate and adapt machine operation to increase productivity and efficiency.
• Auto Droop, which automatically optimizes engine speed under changing conditions.
• Intelligent power management that delivers additional horsepower only when required.
• Seamless transitions between field and transport operations.
• Automatic trailer overrun braking option for improved transport safety.

Together, these technologies reduce operator input while helping tractors maintain optimal performance under varying field conditions.

Built for connected farming

Each tractor is fully integrated with the CLAAS connect digital platform, giving producers real-time access to machine information from the office, a mobile device or a dealership.

The platform allows users to:

• Plan and transfer work orders
• Monitor machine location and performance
• View maintenance status
• Document field operations automatically
• Share guidance lines between compatible machines
• Enable remote display viewing for dealer service support

Integrated GPS guidance, ISOBUS compatibility and automated implement management further simplify operation while improving field accuracy and productivity.

Automation designed around the operator

The tractor family introduces an expanded suite of automation features that reduce repetitive tasks and improve consistency in the field.

Features such as automatic headland management, guidance-line selection and intelligent implement control allow operators to focus on overall job performance instead of routine machine functions.

Lower operating costs

The tractor family has been engineered to reduce downtime and simplify ownership through longer maintenance intervals and expanded warranty coverage. Service intervals have been extended to 750 hours to reduce total cost of ownership and increase uptime.

Every tractor includes Maxi Care Focus, providing five years or 5,000 hours of component coverage on major drivetrain components. Customers can also choose Maxi Care Protect, extending comprehensive machine coverage to five years or 5,000 hours.
