Oklahoma Wheat Commission to hold District I election

The Oklahoma Wheat Commission will have an election to fill the District I board seat. The election will be at 1 p.m. May 12 at the Grant County Expo Center, 412 Sixth Street, Pond Creek, Oklahoma. District I consists of Alfalfa, Garfield, Grant and Major counties.

All wheat producers within District I boundaries who are actively engaged in wheat production, have marketed wheat and have paid a checkoff fee and left that fee with the commission for the current marketing year, June 1, 2025, to May 31, 2026, are eligible to vote.

Candidates wishing to run must be at least 25 years old, residents of Oklahoma, engaged in growing wheat in the district for at least five years and must derive a substantial portion of their income from growing wheat.
