Scott Cooperative Association leases three facilities from Scoular
Scott Cooperative Association will lease Scoular’s grain handling facilities in Oakley, Monument and Winona, Kansas, the two companies announced. The lease agreement is effective Sept. 1.
The agreement allows Scott Cooperative, which has facilities in western Kansas, to expand its network to the north. The three rail-served facilities will give the cooperative greater access to domestic and export markets.
“We look forward to expanding our footprint and developing new producer relationships,” said Jason Baker, the cooperative’s CEO. “We take great pride in our decades-long history of providing superior service to our member-owners.”
The lease further strengthens the partnership between Scoular and Scott Cooperative. The companies are members of the LLC that owns facilities in Selkirk and Pence, Kansas, that are operated by Scott Cooperative.
