The Eastern Colorado Grasslands Coalition invites community members, landowners, agricultural producers, and conservation partners to attend the Cheatgrass Solutions Workshop at the Grassroots Community Center in Joes, Colorado, on Sept. 17.
The free workshop will focus on how cheatgrass affects forage, fire risk, and rangeland health in eastern Colorado and offer practical tools to help participants identify, monitor, and manage the invasive annual grass. The workshop starts at 9 a.m. with coffee, doughnuts, and information about the. Eastern Colorado Grasslands Coalition, followed by educational presentations on cheatgrass identification and impacts, the science behind control methods, and practical management strategies.
The event is free to attend, but participants are encouraged to register at https://www.eastern-grassland-coalition.org/ by Sept. 10 to guarantee lunch.
