I have not been on Facebook, but after the $20 per hundredweight downfall in the cattle market plus President Donald Trump recently coming out after that and saying to lower grocery prices for the America public the United States will import 300,000 metric tons of beef over the next 90 days.

That amount is 330,000 tons of beef. I suggested to the president that instead of importing a lot of beef why doesn’t the government put a $5 per pound rebate on all beef purchased in the next 90 days? Then you do not penalize U.S. cattlemen and this still provides cheaper groceries for the American public.
I do not have any political pull, but for ranchers and cattle organizations please try to get this idea to President Trump. I think it is a win for all of us.
If you look for that on Facebook since my last name is nine it would not take my name saying do not use a number. Well, guess what, I have been using a number ever since I was born. And yes I had to get help setting it up on Facebook so it is listed as Rockin Eight and a half. I live in a small town so I have jacked around with that name just trying to have a good time and often signing various bills like that.
We are approaching that fall time of year when the temperatures often swing from hot to chilly. However so far it has forgotten to swing to chilly.
If you are a believer in God—and even if you are not—please pray for rain as we have a huge area that is dry.
For some of you cattlemen that live under a rock may get a surprise when you take your calves to the sale as right now you will get several hundred dollars per head less than last year. But that can easily change, too, hopefully for the better not worse.
A woman at the gym asked me why I was just sitting still on a stationary bike. I told her I was going downhill.
My wife and I were sitting on the porch drinking a beer. I said, “Love you.” The wife said, “is that you talking or the beer talking?” I said, “That is me talking to the beer.”
I walked up to a beautiful woman in Walmart and said, “Will you talk to me for a little bit.” I said, “Cause I can’t find my wife and every time I get around a woman she shows up.”
