Kemper forage harvester heads now offered at Scherer Inc.
Scherer Inc., Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is now supplying the full line of Kemper forage harvesting headers across North America, giving growers, custom harvesters and dealers a North American source for the row-independent heads and pickups built by Maschinenfabrik Kemper GmbH & Co. KG of Stadtlohn, Germany.
Kemper manufactures forage harvester headers, or front-end harvesting attachments, particularly for corn silage, whole-crop harvesting and windrowed crops. Scherer Inc. develops and produces silage processing technology, including replacement kernel processor systems used in self-propelled forage harvesters.

The partnership combines Kemper’s crop intake and forage header technology with Scherer’s expertise in kernel processing and silage quality enhancement. Together, they deliver a more integrated harvesting solution that helps North American forage producers improve harvesting efficiency, forage quality and overall feed value while supporting multiple forage harvester brands.
Available header options include the Kemper 345PRO, 460PRO, 475PRO and 490PRO six-, eight-, 10- and 12-row row-independent corn heads, as well as the C30 and C35 pickup heads for windrowed forage crops. The 400 Pro Series is designed for high-capacity harvesting, crop flow, durability and operation in high-yield and lodged corn conditions. Meanwhile, the Kemper C-Series pickups are designed to maximize forage intake from windrows while maintaining crop flow and durability to utilize the capacity of today’s high-performance forage harvesters. Their patented auger design makes them particularly well suited for harvesting haylage, alfalfa and other windrowed crops efficiently and consistently.
Scherer Inc. will work directly with growers, custom operators and dealers across North America to help identify the right Kemper header for their harvesting operation and ensure timely access to the correct replacement parts and technical support. As Kemper’s authorized North American importer, Scherer serves as the primary point of contact for parts, service and technical assistance while maintaining a direct connection with Kemper’s factory, engineering and support teams throughout the year.
Kemper headers and pickups are available for order through Scherer Inc. and its dealer network. For more information, see a dealer or visit SchererInc.com.
