Midland Farm Bureau Partnership Expands Member Benefits

Midland, a two-way radio communications company, announced Oct. 6 a partnership with the American Farm Bureau Federation, becoming an official provider in the organization’s National Member Benefits Program.

Through the partnership, AFBF members receive a discount on Midland products designed to improve safety, coordination and efficiency across agricultural operations, according to a Midland news release.

The American Farm Bureau Federation describes itself as the nation’s largest general farm organization, representing farmers and ranchers in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. The partnership gives members access to Midland communication tools intended to help producers stay connected in the field, especially in areas where cellular service may be limited.

“We’re proud to partner with the American Farm Bureau Federation to support the people who keep our communities running,” said Kevin Knipp, CEO of Kansas City, Missouri-based Midland. “Reliable communication is critical on the farm, and this partnership ensures members will have access to the dependable tools they need.”

Midland said it is the only communications company participating in the AFBF member benefits program. Midland markets its radios for agricultural uses, including managing crews across large properties and maintaining communication in remote areas.

“We’re excited to welcome Midland Radio to our National Member Benefits portfolio of partners,” said Joanne Hogan Daugherty, director of member benefits at the American Farm Bureau Federation. “Communication is one of the most consistent challenges our members face every day, whether they’re coordinating across the fields or staying connected in areas where cell service simply isn’t reliable. Midland’s radios are built for exactly those conditions. Adding a dependable, purpose-built communication tool to our lineup of member benefits gives our farmers and ranchers real value, and we’re proud Midland has chosen Farm Bureau as its partner in serving the agricultural community.”

Midland offers General Mobile Radio Service radios and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration weather alert technology for agricultural operations. The latest addition to Midland’s MicroMobile GMRS radio lineup, the MXT295 PRO, provides 15-watt GMRS communication with what Midland describes as its first fully integrated wireless Bluetooth microphone. With wireless microphone communication and an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, the MXT295 PRO is designed to help farmers and ranchers stay connected across fields, farms or other properties.
