The Tulsa Livestock Auction, Tulsa, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 3,143 head selling on Nov. 26, compared to 2,978 head a week ago and 2,883 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, steers were selling unevenly steady. Heifers were selling unevenly steady with a slightly lower undertone noted on calves weighing less than 500 pounds. Demand was good. Quality was average to attractive. The supply included 26% over 600 pounds, with 38% of the total receipts heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $2 higher. Slaughter bulls were selling steady. A total of 403 cows and bulls sold with 54% going to packers.
