Tulsa livestock auction report
The Tulsa feeder cattle weighted average report, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, reported receipts of 660 head selling on April 2, compared to 1,722 head a week ago and 1,740 head last year, according to the USDA-Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Market News Service, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Compared to a week ago, there were too few steers and heifers to establish a trend. However, a lower undertone was noted. Quality was plain, demand light. Receipts include 13% over 600 pounds and 48% heifers. Slaughter cows were selling $2 lower, in a light test. Slaughter bulls were selling $1 lower, also in a light test. A total of 154 cows and bulls sold with 51% going to packers.
