High Plains direct slaughter cattle sales report
High Plains weekly weighted average direct slaughter cattle sales for the week ending Nov. 11, totaled 92,549 head selling, compared to 81,900 head a week ago and 94,559 head last year, according to the USDA Livestock, Poultry and Grain Market News Division, St. Joseph, Missouri.
The report was based on sales in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Colorado, Iowa and Minnesota feedlots.
Steers: Live FOB basis, over 80% Choice, 15,493 head, 1,250 to 1,570 lbs., 111.00 to 114.50 (113.48); 65 to 80% Choice, 7,959 head, 1,200 to 1,550 lbs., 111.50 to 115.00 (114.04); 35 to 65% Choice, 1,695 head, 1,250 to 1,500 lbs., 114.00 to 115.00 (114.06). Dressed delivered basis, over 80% Choice, 20,226 head, 819 to 1,068 lbs., 176.00 to 181.00 (179.12); 65 to 80% Choice, 3,765 head, 846 to 1,012 lbs., 178.00 to 180.00 (179.37).
