Grain industry awards more than $25,000 in scholarships
Kansas Grain and Feed Association’s scholarship committee met in Wichita at the association’s 122nd Annual Meeting recently and awarded more than $25,000 in scholarships to Kansas high school graduating seniors for the 2018-19 academic year.
The scholarship committee, comprised of KGFA’s membership, received 132 applications and awarded 19 students scholarships to assist in advancing their academic endeavors.
“We are very proud of the KGFA scholarship program that has helped so many people throughout the state for so many years,” KGFA’s President and CEO Ron Seeber said. “The association, its board and members take tremendous pride each spring investing in students and helping them pursue their education.”
The winners of 2018-19 KGFA scholarships are listed with their hometown: Rilee Jordan of Galesburg; Blake Bouchey of Damar; Justin Brown of Caldwell; Sage Collins of Chanute; Nathan Enns of Inman; Emily Glenn of Holcomb; Jack Govert of Cunningham; Shyanne Jones of Mound Valley; Hannah Klusman of Ford; Logan Lix of Wright; Ashton McGinn of Sedgwick; Victoria Reed of Fort Scott; Kacie Timmons of Smith Center; Jordan Vandervort of Wakarusa; Brittney Walt of Collyer; Evan Bott of Palmer; Brody Ditto of Culver; Dylan Loos of Udall; and Jamie Rock of Hope.
