Lindstrom and Woodbury scholarships awarded

Seth Yenni of Lindsborg has been awarded the Glenn and Clyde Lindstrom Kansas Livestock Foundation $1,000 scholarship for the 2018-19 school year. Yenni, the son of David and Kim Yenni, will be a sophomore this fall studying agriculture technology at Hutchinson Community College.

The Lindstrom brothers operated a farming and cattle business near Falun. Upon their deaths in 2007, a $50,000 endowment was created to assist students, sophomore level and above, attending a Kansas junior or senior college and pursing a degree in agriculture. Preference is given to those within the boundaries of USD 400.

Chad Hibdon from Princeton, son of Darren and Julie Hibdon, has received the $500 Fred H. Woodbury Memorial Scholarship through KLF. Hibdon will be a freshman at Butler Community College and plans to study agribusiness. This award is given in memory of Fred H. Woodbury, a long-time KLA member from Quenemo, with preference to students in Chase, Franklin, Lyon, Osage and Wabaunsee counties.
