The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market Ogallala, Nebraska, reported receipts of 6,700 head selling on Jan. 11, compared to 7,100 head a week ago and 7,250 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.

Compared to a week ago, steers and heifers were selling $6 to $10 lower. Demand was moderate due to weather conditions. Steers accounted for 46% and heifers 54% of the offering with 81% over 600 pounds.
