The Ogallala Livestock Auction Market, Ogallala, Nebraska, reported receipts of 4,770 head selling on Feb. 15, compared to 6,870 head a week ago and 3,400 head last year, according to the Nebraska Department of Agriculture-USDA Market News Service, Kearney, Nebraska.
Compared to a week ago, steers were selling steady to $8 higher, heifers were selling steady to $10 higher. Demand was good all day long. Steers accounted for 48% and heifers 52% of the offering, with 72% over 600 pounds.
