North Platte, Nebraska-based Sunco Farm Equipment’s 2x2x2 starter fertilizer placement creates the largest yield increase of any starter treatment due to the fertilizer being placed directly in the root zone. Features include one notched and one straight disc with a narrow fertilizer opening, multiple horizontal and vertical adjustment options, and a trailing design with pivoting action all of which help to virtually eliminate plugging and reduce stress on the planter row units while at the same time preserving seedbed integrity. New for 2018 is the Sunco Double NutriMate 3 system that applies starter fertilizer on both sides of the row without the risk of seedbed damage, allows for higher application rates, and promotes increased and more uniform root mass and higher yields.
