Cash bids for wheat, corn, sorghum lower
Compared to Jan. 22, cash bids for wheat, corn and sorghum were lower, soybeans were higher, according to the National Grain Market Summary, Jan. 23.
Corn was 1 cent lower. Sorghum was 1 1/2 cents lower. Soybeans were mostly 2 cents higher. Wheat was mostly 4 to 5 cents lower.
In the futures close, Kansas City March wheat was $4.23 1/4.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $4.13 1/4, down 5 1/4 cents; Minneapolis, $6.19 1/2, down 2 1/2 cents; Portland, $5.17 1/4 to $5.32, down 4 1/4 cents to unchanged; St. Louis, $4.21 to $4.34, down 4 to 1 cent.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.38 1/4, down 3/4 cent; Minneapolis, unavailable; southern Iowa, $3.26 1/4 to $3.39 1/4, down 1/4 to up 1 1/4 cents; Omaha, $3.31 to $3.34, down 1 cent.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $9.46 1/4 to $9.51 1/4, up 2 cents; Minneapolis, unavailable; southern Iowa, $9.46 1/4 to $9.49 1/4, up 2 cents; central Illinois processors, $9.68 1/4 to $9.83 1/4, up 2 cents.
