Reno County Extension Master Gardeners’ annual tour June 9

Reno County Extension Master Gardeners’ tenth annual garden tour is planned for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 9 in the Hutchinson, Kansas, area. This year’s tour gardens are among the most diverse landscapes Master Gardeners have featured on the garden tour.

Enjoy casually exploring five imaginative gardens in and around the Hutchinson area as well as seeing what’s new at the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden on the Hutchinson Community College campus. Advance tickets for $8 each and available now through June 8 at Benton’s Greenhouse, 209 South Valley Pride Road; Bornholdt’s Plantland, 1508 West 4th; all Dillon’s locations in Hutchinson; Dillon Nature Center, 3002 E. 30th; Reno Country Extension Office, 2. W. 10th, South Hutchinson (620-662-2371); and Stutzman’s Greenhouse in Pleasantview and on Apple Lane.

Tickets are available at each garden for $10 a person the day of the tour.

Highlights are:

  • People can enjoy exploring five imaginative private gardens featuring diverse plantings and garden décor, plus the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden on the HCC campus;   
  • Educational talks on Daylilies (10:30 a.m.) and Awesome New Annuals (11:15 a.m.) at the Master Gardener Demonstration Garden at Hutchinson Community College;
  • Tickets include a map of each garden location and the schedule of educational speakers.
