Corn, soybean cash bids mixed
Compared to June 12, cash bids for wheat mixed, corn and soybeans were lower, according to the National Grain Market Summary, June 13.
The boost in the June 12 futures market was not carried over into the June 13 session. Especially, in the soybean complex, as the uncertainty between U.S. and China remains. In addition, the soybean carry out projected on the supply and demand report caused some hesitation.
Wheat was 18 cents lower to 10 1/2 cents higher. Corn was mostly 1 1/2 to 2 cents lower. Soybeans were mostly 17 to 18 cents lower.
In the futures close, Kansas City July wheat was $5.39, down 14 1/2 cents.
Terminal wheat bids, paid for truck delivery, included Kansas City, $5.59, up 10 1/2 to 5 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $6.19 1/2, down 8 cents; Portland, $5.90 to $6.18, unchanged; St. Louis, $5.24 to $5.33, down 18 cents.
Terminal corn bids, U.S. No. 2 yellow, price paid for truck deliver, included: Kansas City, $3.63 to $3.70, down 1 1/2 cents; Minneapolis, $3.29, down 1 1/2 cents; southern Iowa, $3.42 to $3.46, up 3 1/2 to 1/2 cents; Omaha, $3.58 to $3.59, down 2 cents.
Terminal soybean bids, U.S. No. 1, price paid for truck delivery, included: Kansas City, $9.32, down 18 cents; Minneapolis, $8.74, down 18 cents; southern Iowa, $8.90 to $8.99, down 11 to 17 cents; central Illinois processors, $9.18 to $9.31, down 18 to 15 cents.
Kansas City wheat prices June 13, spot, fob track, included: No. 1 hard red winter wheat, ordinary protein, $6.35 to $6.50, down 14 1/2 cents; 12% protein, $6.76 to $6.91, down 14 1/2 cents; 13% protein, $6.84 to $6.99, down 14 1/2 cents; 14% protein, $6.94 to $7.09, down 14 1/2 cents. U.S. No. 2 soft red winter wheat was unavailable. U.S. No. 2 white corn was $3.73 1/4 to $3.79 3/4, up 6 to 1/4 cent.
